Allotment update November 2013

Most of this month's effort has been put into getting the greenhouse up and running, just finished it in time for month end. More wood chips hauled to the plot for floor covering and laying patio slabs. Must have wheelbarrowed several tons over the years! Here's the month's progress in changing from two plots to one...

Right hand side of the plot, all the flowers gone now.

Left hand side, and wait a minute...

...the grass seed is coming up to create a border like the right hand side.

Bit more straightening of the main path done.

And a selection of vines moved from the back plot.

Greenhouse complete other than staging and some tidying up.

At least we can get in the shed now, but needs a good tidy.

Sammy started the new small pond. And cycling to the plot much more regularly.

Allotment update October 2013

Restarting the series of monthly update images to track the change to just having one plot and its development...

Two apple trees replanted to balance left front of plot.

Right front of plot, with established plum and greengage trees.

Most prolific growers at present are nasturtiums & snapdragons.

End result of 3 hours work... half the glass back in the greenhouse.

More transplanted trees to shade the sitting area... pear and apple.

Inside the shed needs a bit of a tidy, once greenhouse ready.

Another of those special Allotment Heaven skies.
